Lisa Hart Today’s New Moon in Scorpio (11/1/2024) is deeply, deeply intuitive and empowering. Coming the day after All Hallow’s Eve (Halloween) and on El Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead), also celebrated as All Saint’s Day, this New Moon carries with it the message loud and clear that All is Hallow (Sacred).
This is a time to go deep down and dark into the Inner Cave and to feel our way through as Storms rage outside. With Mars (initiating/action) in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn the times continue to be volatile. We are called to transform and transmute (Pluto) any difficult feelings (Cancer) as opposed to reacting out of fear and rage. We can express our Revolutionary Spirit responsibly. Processes will be profoundly non-linear; we can use Scorpio’s passion and intensity to deepen our trust in our knowing and sensing. No need to force these knowings on others; instead, may the information gleaned in the Bat Cave be used to guide our internal process. May we give ourselves the gift of stillness and quiet as we are supported to turn old Karma (Pluto in Capricorn) into new ways forward with Love, Compassion and Reciprocity.
The Sun and Moon in Scorpio trine Saturn Retrograde (Rx) in Pisces assist us in coming from a place of grounded maturity (Saturn) and staid trust in intuitive gleanings and Cosmic Oneness (Pisces). May we be responsible with our vast intuitive knowing as we heal the past Karma of invalidation, suppression and persecution for our intuitive and psychic gifts. Trust these gifts and use them. It matters (Saturn = Mater =Matter).

As the turmoil gets more and more severe in the outer world our internal work becomes ever more urgent and imperative. Cleanse, ground, call in all of the healing, skills, talents and wisdom we have worked so hard for. We can hold the Center together and create a template for a more balanced, kinder and harmonious Humanity by accepting all of our feelings and transmuting them when needed. Mars will be dancing with Pluto in an opposition off and on until April 2025. We will be visiting these issues repeatedly and may not know the outcome of current events, personal and collective, until next Spring.
Every moment of peace, every gathering in peace, every conversation in peace is a beacon of light. Never doubt that what we do as individuals, shining a light with compassion and care, matters. It is vital. We must and we will weather this Storm to a brighter day. The energies of the Skies are with us. The prophecies and Wisdom Keepers are with us. The Seers, Mystics and Light Workers, the Shamans and Teachers are with us.

Scorpio holds three distinct archetypes: the Scorpion (Snake), the Phoenix (Fire Bird) and the Eagle (Thunderbird) which tell the story of Scorpio. Holding ancient imprints that exist in the deepest layers of our unconscious (scorpion) we are called to face all and to metamorphose what is no longer viable in the Sacred Flame (phoenix). Shedding skin and rising from ashes is just as scary, and painful as it sounds. The promise of Scorpio is that when we do so we are renewed and gifted with greater vision, a clearer sight and a fresh, new life soaring through higher states of being (eagle). As we dive with Scorpio into the depths of the Sacred Dark we find the treasures we forgot, lost, mislaid or buried. Our monsters turn into our most precious friends.
A Grand Cardinal Cross consisting of Juno (committed relationships) in Libra, Mars in Cancer, Pluto in Capricorn and Chiron in Aries further emphasizes the tension and challenge of holding all part of ourselves in balance and respect as we heal (Chiron).
A Grand Sextile created when 6 Celestial Bodies are sextile each other consecutively encircles this chart. A Grand Earth and Grand Water Trine are also created with this geometry. This configuration offers us infinite flexibility and harmony and an energy of support as we move through what challenges and confronts us. We are cradled by the Universe as this grand pattern unfolds. Holding the Center through the Storm may we allow considered and intuitively informed movement (Mars in Cancer) to bring us to the next place that needs tending. As awful as the reality is right now, we must see the Dark clearly to purge and purify it. As great patterns unfold in a spiral of ascension we have the tools, the community and the energetic support from the Cosmos to weather it and to create a New Earth (Uranus Rx in last degrees of Taurus and Saturn Rx in Pisces).
Mercury in Scorpio brings declarations of profound intent and powerful Truths but not necessarily for sharing. Jupiter Rx in Gemini squares both Saturn and Neptune, both Rx in Pisces and asks us to pause and examine our beliefs, our facts and our stories and to express ourselves with mature compassion. Venus conjunct Athena (Justice) in Sagittarius opposes this Jupiter further calls us to value (Venus) sage and equitable communications as well as to express our values of justice and equity.
Intentions set on and around this New Moon will power up for months if not years. Use the Deep Magic of this time to set intentions with a simple ceremony. Honor the ancestors with oranges and pomegranates. If you can’t offer gratitude, offer a prayer of healing and remember that our ancestors include the Earth, the Sky, the Four Leggeds, the Winged ones, the Creepy Crawlies, the Rocks, the Stardust… start where you can.
Give yourself the gifts of stillness and quiet, compassion and forgiveness that the energy of the times offers. May we create the best possible outcome out of the crazy. Where we are knocked or fall down, we will find diamonds in the mud and dust. Diamonds keep coming up in my life.
